Today, I like to share with everyone something very different from the normal rubber stamping card.  I was introduced by a friend about Parchment Craft many years back and fell in love with it after realizing that you can create beautiful card with simple tools. By using vellum paper (or known as parchment paper), embossing tools and white pencil to create the card. Start the card by tracing pattern onto the vellum paper with white pencil, turn over the paper and go thru the lines with fine round ball tool. Followed by using a medium round ball tool to emboss the petals and see how the paper turn white from the original grey color. Once you complete the embossing, turn the vellum paper over and feel the paper is popped up which gives a 3D effect. Add a small ribbon or even simple sentiments “Best Wishes” on the card to make it completes.

Weekly Inspiration By Ridz

What's your favourite project in scrapbooking?  I love making mini albums.  

 

They are my personal photo storybook.  

Following up from Roza's post last week, I have an envelope mini album to share with you. They are really easy - take an envelope (you can even upcycle your old envelopes), seal all edges and then cut off about 1cm from one edge and you get a pocket page. In each pocket you can put a tag or two or some mementos like receipts or other ephemera.  I've decorated this album with Prima's Songbird and Almanac collection.  I've used some handmade embellishments and those from Tim Holtz, Prima and Krafers as well.  Finally they are bound using the Cinch.

Hey scrappers, good to be back for another week.

 

For the next couple of weeks, some of our designers will be showcasing different styles of albums.

To kick start,here's a 5"x2.5" mini tag album entitled simply divine.

 

I used a combination of papers from Prima pack en francais & nature garden collection .
Each page has a slot for tags to fit small pictures & messages.

Embellished with small flower buds, butterflies, ribbons & brads.

Album is put together with the cinch .75" in gold.
