Inspiration By Alice - Happy Teachers' Day

Hi all , it is an honor to be part of Krafers’ Paradise, Guest Designer Team. I like to craft since school days. It was in 2003 when I visited the Australia Perth Royal Show which is a national event held yearly whereby they show case the best products and crafts in the country. It was an eye opening to discover the beautiful things that you can make thru paper, ribbons, cinnamon sticks or even fabric. There is no boundary for crafts and is all about your imagination and creativity.

Well, I have something to share with everyone and this is a simple ladybird chocolate flowers which you can present to your teachers – wishing them “Happy Teachers’ Day”.

Instruction for Ladybird chocolate flower
1.      Materials used:
·         Papers from Bella Blvd Sophisticates
·         Balloon Sticks
·         Ladybird chocolate
·         Satin ribbon – green color
·         Tag – for messages
·         Flowers petals from Tim Holtz tattered flowers
·         Flower pot

  1. Roll up edges of the petals with balloon stick. Punch hole in the centre.

      3.  Thread thru all the petals and tag.

      4.  Tie the ribbon to secure the petals.

         5.  Top view of the flower with tag and ribbon.

  1. Finally glue the ladybird chocolate onto the balloon stick and don’t forget to write your message on the tag.

  1. Final presentation of the ladybird chocolate flowers in the lovely pot….

Have fun creating this and if you need any help, do feel free to drop me a comment or you may approach the friendly staff at the Krafers’ Paradise.
Have Fun and wishing all teachers a very Happy Teachers’ Day!

Weekly Inspiration by Dewey

Hi all,

Are you enjoying the Hari Raya Festival yet?

It's a great opportunity to capture memories of families and friends of different races feasting and bonding ... but how do you find time to scrap them? I know scrapping will take 3 hours off my sleep! ..and I want to sleep! LOL! But of course, after some personal banter, scrapping will always win. So, here's a really simple one-hour layout to help you release your creative mojo during this sleep-depriving festive season.

What do you think? :) As you can see, it promotes layering and clustered embellishments.

Here's a sketch to help you along :

Nothing much to think about really... just grab :

1) 4 coordinated patterned papers, choose 3 to be layered. I like to play with contrasting colours which saves lots of time. The last piece of paper is for the picture placemat AND the flags. Do grab your pack of papers with contrasting colors which are available at Krafer's.

2) A bunch of flowers based on the colours that you can see in your papers (even the smallest flower can  perfectly coordinated with the layout).

3) A length of twine.

4) A couple of brads which you can mix and match.

5) A pair of scissor.

6) Strong glue

7) A printed 4R photo.

Head down to the shop now ! If you need help, just look for any staff at KCK.

Remember your member discount, it is storewide 40% for US products !

Do try the sketch and post your finished layout and tag us on Facebook.

We would love to see them.

Weekly Inspiration by Ridzuani

Hi there,

I am Ridz and I'm honored to be the guest designer for Krafer's Paradise this week.

With Hari Raya just around the corner, Teresa Collins' Fabrication papers were the inspiration behind this double easel card. This really pretty collection showcases her designs with bright colours and lovely designs; really suitable as I find Hari Raya is a colourful festival.

As you can see, it folds flat so that it will be easy to mail out and when opened up, the card will stand up to showcase your design. The sentiments were easily printed on cardstock with the computer and then cut to size with die cuts machine. An area for writing a message is there too. With the addition of some blings, Prima flowers and a handmade flower, the receiver will be proud to display this in her home.

I hope this will inspire you to make a card for your friends and families for the upcoming festive season. I'm sure they will appreciate this personal gesture. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim readers a very happy Hari Raya.

Products used :
Teresa Collins' Fabrications paper, Teresa Collins' Fabrication stickers, Prima Bling,
Prima Flowers & KCK Rhinestones.
